Pastor Evan reacts to Mugabe’s “I’m not going anywhere” speech.

“We thought this was going to be a historic evening but it turned out to be something else. It was an absolutely shocking speech that didn’t say much to us.” Zimbabweans expected their 4-decade president to finally resign and they were glued to their TVs for the announcement.

He didn’t resign. Instead, he says he is going to be presiding over his party’s Congress in a few weeks, a sign he’s far from giving up power.
